Rare Pair of Imposing Mid Century c1960 French Wall Lights. Acquired in S W France recently, this pair of wall lights are unusual, similar in style of the RAAK FUGA MAIIJA LIISA KOMULAINEN design. They are formed steel plate, with enamelled black, white & grey surfaces, are well made, substantial & weighty.
They're somewhat oversized, quite tall, offer both an uplight & downlight effect as seen in photos, however also light is dispersed to the sides from behind the black front shade/diffuser but remains within the curved. They are complete & clean. Each have some surface marks to the enamelled finish & the base metal is visible in a couple of places but all is credible & in line with age - see photos, could be touched up & hidden with black paint if preferred. Wiring is in good order & all remains insulated, they're ready to use.
Take standard b22 bayonet bulbs. Overall width 15cm x Height 40cm & Project 13cm. Pair Weigh approx 2.75kg combined.
